Group By

When the Group By dropdown is available (on all 2D charts), the Group By tab on the right side of the gadget allows users to customize these segments of the chart.

Example: You set the Group By to Status and you want to rename the “Open” segment to “To Do” - this can be accomplished in the Group By.

Ordering

In the dropdown, users can change the ordering of the Group By segments

 

Show zero counts

If “On chart” is toggled on (green), segments with a value of zero are shown on the chart

If “Highlight rows in editor” is toggled on (green), zero count segments are highlighted in the editor and can be easily deleted

 

Reorder segments

By clicking and dragging to the pair of vertical dots next to a segment box, users can change the order of Group By segments

 

 

Rename segments

By clicking the pencil icon next to a segment name, users can change the name of Group By segments

 

Group segments

By clicking the + icon next to a segment name, users can combine multiple Group By segments into a single segment

 

Hide segments

By clicking the eyeball icon next to a segment box, users can hide Group By segments from the Chart

 

Date Options

For charts where you choose a date field as the Group By option, you can customize the way the dates are grouped and the range of dates that display on the chart.

Grouping

In the dropdown, users can change the way dates are grouped on the chart (i.e. break the dates down by month instead of day)

 

Range

In the dropdown, users can change the range of dates that appear on the chart (i.e. only show issues with due dates in the next 30 days)

  • Past 7 days

  • Past 30 days (default)

  • Past 90 days

  • This week

  • This month

  • This quarter

  • This year

  • Last week

    • Enter a dynamic start date and end date for the range

Show issues without dates

Click the toggle (it will turns green) to include issues on the chart that do not have a date filled in for the date field selected in the Group by dropdown
