Vonage - How to enable it on Contract Signatures
Sign up
In order to sign up, simply go to https://www.vonage.com or click on this link.
You will be asked to verify you are human and proceed with the verification.
Once the verification is complete, a sign up form will be available. Fill out the form and you can choose to enable 2FA authentication for your Vonage account.
You will be asked to verify your email address.
Once your email address is verified, you will be asked to verify your phone number. You will receive an SMS with an OPT (one-time password). Simply copy and add the number to the field.
You can now select your role and choose a product to get started. For 2FA functionality on the Contract Signatures app, we will be choosing the “SMS” section.
You will be credited by Vonage for testing purposes. We can use this credit to check the service.
Once you select the “SMS” section, you will be automatically redirected to the following page.
API Key
Click on the Vonage logo in the top-left corner of the page. This will redirect you to the dashboard view.
From the dashboard view, you can copy your API key value and paste it into the API key field on the Contract Signatures (SMS Shipper Config) page.

Authorization Token
On the right side of your API key, your API secret is available.
Copy this value and paste it into the API secret field on the Contract Signatures (SMS Shipper Config) page.
Sender number
For test purposes, Vonage allows its users to use their own numbers as sender and recipient numbers.
If you wish to purchase a number, simply navigate to Numbers > Buy numbers using the side panel menu on the left side and follow the instructions.
In this case, however, we will be using the “test numbers” to check the service capabilities for 2FA functions on the Contract Signatures app. Simply navigate to Numbers > Your numbers and you will see the following message displayed.
Click on the “test numbers” link depicted in the image above. Since your number is already verified, you can copy the number and paste it into the Vonage Number in the E.164 format field on the Contract Signatures (SMS Shipper Config) page.
Please note: you can only send and receive messages on verified test numbers.
You can add additional test numbers as well in order to test the functionality between 2 different numbers.
