Smart Labels are labels that can be added to Issue List to highlight Jira issues that need attention. Users can add pre-existing Jira filters as labels, or, make custom labels using JQL.

Steps to Add Smart Labels

  1. With Issue List in Edit mode, navigate to the Columns tab on the right side and click + Add a Smart Label

  2. In the dropdown, select a Smart Label option:

    1. Add saved Filter Smart Label: Click this option to add an existing Jira filter as a Smart Label

    2. Add custom JQL Smart Label: Click this option to use custom JQL to build a Smart Label directly in Issue List

  3. Click Save or Insert

Change the Color of Smart Labels

  1. Click the tag icon to the left of the label dropdown

  2. Choose your desired label color from the color picker


Change the Name of Smart Labels

  1. Click the pencil icon to the right of the selected filter, or, click into the text box that says Label

  2. Type your desired label name in the text box

  • No labels
