There are some small differences between the user interface on Sketch for Confluence on Atlassian's Cloud and Server hosting options.

 Cloud User's Guide

Once an image has been attached to a page look for the new Sketch link at the top of the published page.


Clicking Sketch opens the image selector menu when you can choose which image on the page you want to edit.


Clicking on the image you want to edit will open the Sketch for Confluence editor.


Tools Guide

To use any tool provided by Sketch simply select the tool from tool panel, located at the top of the Sketch dialog box.

Drawing Tools

Select

The Select tool is used to move and edit existing objects on the image.

Re-arrange highlight, line or arrow objects and edit text.

Text

With Text tool you can annotate the image.

It is possible to choose font for the text, and also Bold and Italic modifiers.

Here are the list of supported fonts:

  • Arial

  • Comic Sans MS

  • Courier New

  • Georgia

  • Times New Roman

  • Verdana

Highlight

Highlight creates a semi-transparent rectangle around a selected area of the image.

Arrow

Arrow is used to point to a certain place on the image. Arrows can be different colours and sizes.

Line

Line is a basic tool, which can be used for simple underlying content or for the creation of more complex drawings.

Size

Size can be used to modify the size of text and object added to the image.

Colour

Colour can be used to modify the colour of text and object added to the image.

Undo / Redo

You can use Undo and Redo function by pressing the corresponding button on the tool panel or by using ctrl+z and ctrl+y hotkeys.

Image Tools

Zoom

Zoom in and out to get a closer look at details of the image.

Crop

Select the crop tool and drag across the area of the image you want to retain when cropping.

Clear

Remove all drawn elements by pressing Clear button. Clearing an image of objects cannot be undone.

When editing an image on a Confluence page a new option will be available Sketch...
